Student Testimonials
Here are some comments taken from our end of course evaluation forms.
These are comments made by graduates of some of SPSTI's training courses.
From Cpt. Z. Becenti, CHSO, Security Coordinator, Southeast Baptist Hospital
- "This certificate of appreciation is herby awarded for your outstanding
support of the Southeast Baptist Hospital Security Department. SPSTI entered
into a training agreement with Southeast Baptist Hospital to ensure its
Security Department has access to the best Healthcare Security Training
available in the San Antonio area. SPSTI's staff and cadre actions display
great credit upon themselves, the local healthcare community, and the Security
industry in Texas."

"I don't think there is a
better class in San Antonio that covers material and training like Brian's
courses. Today I learned a new way of shooting. As a former Navy Seal, I have
to say that I was very impressed with Brian and Gene Jones form of
professional shooting. I will recommend all security personnel & law
enforcement to take Security & Public Safety Training Institute's courses
always."
-
"I wish my other
co-workers would have taken this course."

"Your presentation of the
laws and regulation regarding armed security were as good, actually better,
than any I’ve seen. This is a very difficult subject to make palatable to
students, but you manage it. Your presentation is coherent and systematic,
but what makes it work is that you have years of practical experience in how
those laws actually play out on the street. Your ability to incorporate your
practical experience into the subject matter is invaluable.
The best part of your
course for me, however, was the role playing. The scenarios ran the gamut
from situations in which the best solution was to do nothing, to a situation
where application of deadly force was the best option. As I go over the
scenarios in my mind I continue to learn from them. I also learned that I have
a tendency to “tunnel in” and not be aware of any peripheral issues. I also
think I’ll be much more likely to call 911 before initiating action myself,
particularly if immediate action isn’t called for. The things that I learned
in your class have the potential for saving my life, and certainly can save me
a whole lot of grief otherwise.
I was also impressed, a
lot, with your firearms teaching ability. I’ve never taken a shooting class,
other than CHL and Commission stuff, but I saw you do what I thought couldn’t
be done; teach a shooter not to dip the gun when the hammer falls on an empty
cartridge. I was impressed!!!"
